Annie Halo lives in Brooklyn with her cat Spooky and is not sure if this biography should be in third person or not, but decided to leave it because she thought it would be funny. She has been involved in the electronic music world as a musician, DJ, engineer, and remix artist since high school, when she first began banging around with power tools and synths and recording it on 4-track cassette tape. She attended the Savannah College of Art and Design for sound design and makes a halfway reasonable living as an audio engineer, assistant engineer, audio technician, and some sort of excuse for a music journalist.
Annie Halo also plays keyboards in the New York City electro-glam outfit The Dead Stars On Hollywood, their acoustic side project Disenchanted, and goth rockers Bitter Grace. Some of her favorite musicians include Depeche Mode, David Bowie, Kraftwerk, Bauhaus, Joy Division, The Damned, P.I.L., Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, and Duran Duran. She believes that despite the rise in abysmal home recordings and the closing of major studios, someday people will pay for music again and there will be a new renaissance in the music industry. At least this is what she tells herself so that she can get up and go to work smiling every day.
